Pavillón deportivo de Bouzas, Vigo. 2017. En colaboración con Elara Elvira
This mural is part of the programme ‘Vigo, cidade de cor’. The initial idea was to talk about this small part of the world that are the Rías do Sur de Galicia, its sea, its fishermen, its mountains, toxos, horses and megalithic monuments. Of this piece of land that goes into the sea and the sea, that looks at the Universe at night, and has its map engraved on the stones.
In the sea we paint the day, the storm and the chaos in which we live today. On land the night, the calm and that ancient culture that left signs on stones that still exist under our feet and sometimes show themselves under the moss to those who know how to see. And in the sky we paint the cosmos and the megalithic complex of Portalén at the top of Seixo Mountain as a passage from life to death, and back to life, like the water cycle, from the sea to the sky and from the sky to the sea.
