Gracias Universo, Bouzas. 2019. In cooperation with ELARA ELVIRA.

This mural, entitled Gracias Universo, is the continuation of the one we painted in 2017 on the wall next to the building, a look at this small part of the world that are the estuaries of southern Galicia, inside the Universe.
In that mural we painted the present in the sea and the past in the land. In this new wall we want to pay homage to the future. The future from somewhere in the universe where time does not exist as we know it and where all epochs coexist floating in the cosmic order.
The mural is a projection in which we imagine a sidereal future, in which the human being is a tiny part of the whole. It is the representation of a universe in expansion, in which order and chaos coexist and which, due to its infinite nature, shows us the lightness of our species and the eternity to which our being belongs. As in that photo of the Earth sent by the Voyager II space probe just before leaving the Solar System, which Carl Sagan called A Pale Blue Dot.
The work is part of the programme ‘Vigo, cidade de cor’ of the City Council of Vigo.
